Lawsuit Loans Help You Get Full Settlement for Your Injuries

Wednesday, May 20th, 2009

When someone is injured because of the negligence of other parties, they deserve compensation. Lawsuit loans enable the victim to take their claim to court and resist letting the insurance companies talk them in to settling for less. Most personal injury cases take months or longer, which can become a huge financial
burden on the injured. Pre-settlement funding helps to avoid all of this. Injuries due to auto accidents, faulty products or negligence by large companies can be very serious. Many times, they are so severe that the injured cannot work or becomes disabled. This creates financial hardships, leaving the victim feeling they
are unable to pursue justice. Lawsuit loans are the answer. You deserve compensation, and can afford to pursue it.

Insurance companies know that these types of cases usually take months or longer to settle. Although they will persuade you that they are looking out for your best interests, they are looking after their own. They will attempt to get you to settle for less compensation. Pre-settlement funding is a way to avoid this and be financially secure for the duration of your claim.

Settlement funding companies are designed to give injured people a chance to fight for their rights. The money they provide is not a loan, it is a cash advance. The amount will be determined from the beginning, so that the plaintiff knows exactly how much they will owe in the event they win their case. In the worst case scenario, if the claim is lost the plaintiff owes no money to the funding company.

Lawsuit loans can be used by the plaintiff in a number of different ways. Often, the injured cannot work for an extended period of time. These funds help pay
monthly household bills, medical bills, attorney fees and even repair costs if an automobile was badly damaged in the accident.

If the defendant is a large corporation, the case will often take even longer to settle. These companies often have deep pockets, and will extend the case for as long as possible in an attempt to get the plaintiff to settle for less. Pre-settlement funding also helps to avoid this scenario, allowing the plaintiff to
proceed for as long as it takes.

Your attorney will submit the necessary information to the settlement funding company for their examination. Upon approval, funds are available within 24 hours. If you have been injured because of another person or party’s negligence, contact your attorney today. They will discuss the possibility of obtaining a lawsuit loan to enable you to get the compensation you deserve for your injuries, as well as pain
and suffering.

Officials Mull over new DUI law in Seattle

Sunday, May 17th, 2009

At a Puget Sound Seattle conference, the Dept. of licensing plus the State Patrol unveiled various details for the new laws which possibly go into effect soon. This is known as the ignition-interlock law and it has been somewhat controversial since it’s inception and subsequent analysis by the mainstream media due to it’s possible effects on the dui situation in the region.

All in all, the proposed law will basically assist drivers who have been busted for dui to keep their license or at least only lose it for a brief time thus reducing sharply the volume of unlicensed drivers on the Seattle highways at any given time. These drivers will then have to apply for a special drivers license which will give them complete driving rights assuming they already are fitted with a ignition interlock gadget in their car to prevent them from driving if they have been drinking alcoholic beverages. In addition to all of this, they will furthermore be mandated to have unique license plates on their car or truck. As an aside if you need a superb Seattle dui attorney then might I recommend the Law Offices of Blair & Kim, as they are indeed among the best Seattle dui attorney that you will be able to find. Now back to the story at hand. Thanks for letting me plug those guys because they are good.

The new drivers license will be a hundred bucks out of the drivers pocket, a small price to pay really for the freedom to drive. Twenty of these dollars will be put into a fund for drivers who are unable to afford the fees and there will also be a monthly charge for the corporation that makesthe ignition interlock devices in question. Of course, the said driver will have to have proof of car insurance, congruent with state law.

All in all, the length of time the driver will need to have the ignition interlock device on their car will depend largely on the number of times they have been busted for driving under the influence. A first time dui offender will vary and can be as long as a year, the driver who has been charged with dui three or more times will comply to having the ignition interlock device on their vehicle 10 years. Seattle is very progressive in this respect. Lindsey Lohan could use this device.

Actor’s Attorney defends His Client

Friday, May 15th, 2009

The criminal defense Attorney for actor Kiefer Sutherland has claimed (perhaps correctly) that the TV thespian is not at fault for possibly attacking high profile fashion designer Jack McCollough last week at a party, as reported by to a number of published news reports, such as by the Associated press, among others.
The attorney for the Canadian born yet Los Angeles identified actor read: “the investigation being conducted by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and the NYPD will confirm that Kiefer…(is exonerated)” The son of noted actor Donald Sutherland, Kiefer has also appeared in a number of feature films such as
‘A Few Good Men’plus ‘Young Guns’. On the whole he is perhaps most widely known for his lead part on the TV program ’24′ For trivia fans, he is apart of the well known and sometimes notorious ‘brat packer’ group of holloywood stars like Sean Penn, Robert Downey Jr., Rob Lowe, Demi Moore, Charlie Sheen and Emelio Estevez.
Incidentially if you require a superb Los Angeles criminal defense attorney then might I recommend the esteemed Law Offices of Ramiro J. Lluis as he is a top-drawer and leading Los Angeles criminal defense attorney for much of southern California.
Now back to the story at hand: This is of course not the actor’s only run-in problem with the legal system yet he is generally well known with the Los Angeles system rather than New York City. Despite the very serious criminal allegations, however, not all of the news has been bad for Kiefer lately. He was recently voted ‘Canada’s most beautiful person’ and Los Angeles actress and supermodel Brooke Shields has come to his defense verbally in some recent statements.
