Tyson asks for Mourning Time

Friday, May 29th, 2009

The passing away of former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson’s 4 year-old daughter in a horrible accident while playing at her house adds a very sad footnote to his already troubled life.
As it stands, she passed away at a hospital Tuesday following being on life support since she was injured several days ago in Phoenix, Arizona. It seems that she has either slipped and fell or had some other type of similiar accident. All in all, Tyson came to the state after his daughter was badly injured and was seen going into the hospital. The modest house where his daughter was in contrasts sharply with the opulent and luxurious lifestyle he had throughout most his turbulent and sometimes chaotic years on the tarmac. Incidentially if you require a New York City accident lawyer then please take a peak at the law Offices of Geller & Siegel. The are absolutely the best New York City accident lawyer you will find there.
During only a 2 year span at the height of his career, he made over a hundred million dollars, but filed for Bankruptcy in the United States Bankruptcy Court some years prior.
He started the sport in an institution for juvenile delinquents in New York around the age of twelve. Around eight years after that he became the youngest heavyweight champion of all time when he knocked out Trevor Berbick. He was then beaten by James “Buster” Douglas
in a major upset. Not too long thereafter he was convicted of raping a beauty pageant contestant in Indiana, an offense for which he served 3 years behind bars. And just several years after that, he did 3 months in the slammer for assaulting 2 individuals following a relatively minor fender bender. His lawyer recently claimed that he did the best he could, considering his background. According to an article reported in the AP online news network, while his kids lived in their modest neighborhood, he himself bought a separate designer house in a wealthy Phoenix suburb for more than two million dollars. Then 2 years ago, he spent twenty-four hours in Maricopa County’s “Tent City” jail after a conviction for cocaine possession plus a count of dui.
According to the published police report, he stated that he bought cocaine “whenever I can get my hands on it.”

Woman Charged in Strange Jewelry theft case

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009

In a rather bizarre theft case, a female (Teresa Tambunting) isthe under suspicion of taking twelve million US in gold and diamond jewelry from her position as vault manager at Queens jewelry store in NEw York and then storing them in her basement at her residence. They found $12 million in gold pieces and other jewelry were missing from the vault. These may have included 10K gold chain, ladies diamond ring, etc.

The female in question had told her family at their evening meal that she was somewhat fearful of the economic conditions of the country. It seems that her particular fears may have had their origins in major the stock market tumoil and her husband Edgardo’s job. All in all, she was fearful that the economy would make her husband lose his job or maybe get downgraded somehow.

For their part, state Prosecutors have stated that during this point in time her and her 3 kids as well as husband were living with raw gold and jewelry hidden in their house basement.. They say the 50-year-old woman over a 6-year time span sneaked tiny items of gold and jewelry into her purse. In addition, she was the vault manager from where the twelve million of gold and jewelry was missing since the early 1990’s. It seems from the reports at hand that she was stealing items like a 10K gold chain, diamond stud earrings, gold cuban chain, bling bling jewelry and various other items. Speaking for myself, I think that I might have taken the 10K gold chain if I had worked there and wanted to do the rip-off thing.

In conclusion, the suspect was charged with grand larceny and released on $100,000 bail. She is said to be planning her defense with her lawyer, which may actually include a defense of obsessive-compulsive disorder. That should tie up the New York court system for a good long while as they make up some new disease to justify her crimes, if she in fact did it. naturall, though, she is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The origins of Dell Computer

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009

As I am sure you are altready aware, computers are at the forefront of both the business and technological worlds today, respectively. After all, they are a truly global economy of literally billions of dollars in annual sales. All in all, certain entrepreneurs in this particular industry who have invested in it have come out on top in a major way; and one such entrepreneur is of course Michael Dell.
The native Texan was born to an orthodonist and a wall street broker. Going to Memorial High School when he was quite young, he did not do particularly well from an academic viewpoint yet he showed superb business management skills in his job as a seller of subscriptions for the Houston Post newspaper 9do they still have print newspapers, lol). As an aside if you spend a lot of time in the office on the computer and could use an office chairs then might I suggest Sitbetter.com as they have some of the best office chairs found anywhere at this time, regardless of style.
This includes leather and big & tall office chairs as well.
His climb to the stratosphere started while still in school, at a firm known as PC’s Limited. It became so remarkable successful that at the age of merely nineteen he dropped out of college to dedicate himself to the management of his fledgling firm; the company that eventually became a company with household name recognition; Dell Computers. His garage was his office, as I recall.Twenty three years after his initial investement of himself into the industry, Micheal Dell has created one of the largest computer assembly companies in the world; with Dell Computers generating sixteen billion dollars in revenue in 2008; and his company shows no signs of slowing down in growth.

Defining your Immune System

Thursday, May 21st, 2009

Here is a wonderful health article written by Lori Mathews, She penns articles on health for both humans and pets. Please visit transfer factor for more information.: An immune system protects an organism against disease involving biological processes. It identifies and kills tumor cells and pathogens. It detects viruses and other agents. The immune system distinguishes the organism’s healthier tissues and cells in order for it to function properly.

The immune system protects the organisms from infections with layered defenses. The immune system has two types of defense mechanisms; innate immune system and an adaptive immune system. Pathogens (bacteria and viruses), physical barriers prevent them from entering the organism. If a pathogen makes its way through the physical barriers, the innate immune system provides a non-specific response immediately.

All plants and animals have innate immune systems. If the pathogens evade the innate response successfully, a third layer of protection (which vertebrates possess), the adaptive immune system is activated. The immune system adapts when it recognizes an infection from the pathogen. The adaptive immune system adapted its response. The response is improved and retained in the form of an immunological memory. The pathogen has been eliminated and it allows the adaptive immune system to response faster and have stronger attack each time this specific pathogen is encountered.
Here are some ways to help your immune system:
1 plenty of sleep can help your immune system. Your body needs to restore and replenish itself. Getting plenty hours of sleep will make you healthier and build your immune system stronger at the same time.

2. Exercising. Keeping your body physically active can make your immune system more active. It may also reduce feelings of stress in your life.

3. Keep your body hydrated with plenty of water. Carry a bottle of water everywhere you go so you won’t get dehydrated.

4. Keep an eye on your alcohol and caffeine consumption. Your immune system reacts differently when it is consumed with these products. You will be sick and your immune system cannot recognize and response as quickly as before. Only drink caffeine and alcohol in moderation!

5. Eat a well balance meal. Follow the food pyramid and try to consume all of the levels of the food pyramid. Have the exact servings of everything on the chart. This is your only life.

Of of the major classics to be identified with the island of Kauai, one of the most prominent was the 1964 production ‘South Pacific’ which coined the phrase ‘Bali Hai’ often used in the real estate scene when naming various developments and so forth.
It was filmed partially at the scenic Lumahai beach plus Kilauea town. along with the 60’s production ‘Blue Hawaii’ starring Elvis Presley, which was filmed partially at the scenic Hanalei Bay resort area on the north shore of Kauai and near the Wailua river over on the Eastern shore.
He stayed at the ‘Coco Palms’ resort in kapp which still stands today despite being heavily damaged in a recent hurricane. There is some of the best real estate in the world in that area, in my opinion.
The monster flick’King Kong’ (both the original and 1985 version starring Jessica Lange and Jeff Bridges) was also filmed here also. You may also remember the 1992 dark comedy ‘Honeymoon in Vegas’ which headlined Nick Cage, Sarah Jessica Parker and James Caan. That one was filmed mainly
in Kapaa. and Hanalei. Other movies which have been filmed on Kauai include the dark comedy ‘Throw Momma from the Train’ starring Danny Devito, the kids and parents Rob Reiner comedy ‘North’ starring Bruce Willis and Dan Ackroyd, the 2002 adventure movie ‘Captain Nemo’, the Branden Fraser headlined live action cartoon ‘George of the Jungle’ filmed near Anahola, the world War 2 drama ‘Dragonfly’ starring Kevin Costner was filmed in Princeville and the 2003 action flick ‘Tears of the Sun’ headlined by Bruce Willis.
Other movies include the Peter Pan inspired 1992 pirates adventure tale ‘Hook’ starring Robin Williams, Dustin Hoffman and Julia Roberts, the 1998 romance film ‘Six Days and seven Nights’ starring Harrison Ford and Anne Heche, the 60’s adventure film ‘Planet of the Apes starring Charlton Heston as well as the 1995 big budget disaster movie ‘Outbreak’ which starred Dustin Hoffman, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Donald Sutherland, among others in an ensemble cast. And let us not forget the recent war comedy blockbuster ‘Tropic Thunder’ which starred ben Stiller (who also lives on the island) plus Tom Cruise and ‘Iron Man’ star Robert Downey Jr….By the way if you are visiting the island and want to browse Kauai real estate then Sleeping Giant Realty may be just the firm for you. Many of the major stars of the last century have made films here like John Wayne, Frank Sinatra, Jack Lemmon, Howard Keel, Dorothy Lamour, Robert Stack, James Garner and also Kathleen Turner. Mostly known for it’s movie locations, Kauai has also been the setting for several tv shows as well.

Choosing between goji juice and the other Top Superfoods

Thursday, May 21st, 2009

When it comes to Superfoods, it seems as though everyone has their own particular favorite.
This makes a lot of sense to me since, even though they are all ’super foods’, each one
has it’s own specific strengths. For example, if you valued antioxidant power over all
else then you might be inclined to choose the acai berry or perhaps the pomegranet as your
top choice. If you wanted a balance of nutrients and amino acids then you might choose Himalayan goji juice or the wolf berry. If you valued anti-inflammation properties above everything then the salmon or high grade fish oil could be your choice. for heart healthy food, oats could top your list. If you highly value brain food, then maybe Cinnamon is at the head of the class for you. (in addition, recent research at rd.com suggests that this spice may help to prevent the onset of diabetes as well) Of course, there are any other number of criteria to judge by. One of the newer superfoods to hit the scene includes Kamut, which has been shown to have about 30 percent more protein than regular wheat and is also richer in lipids, amino acids, vitamins as well as minerals.
In addition to these benefits, it can be tolerated by certain individuals who suffer from sensitivity issues with the regular wheat.
Grapefruit juice has long been a staple because of it’s super-high vitamin c content.
Another key superfood are various sea vegetables such as edible seaweed. Although they may sound somewhat unappetizing at first, they are in fact very dense in vitamins and trace elements, including those that are no longer found in overworked soil. The kelp family, in particular, is a superb source of iodine and is blessed with some 4 times the iron content of beef. Not bad for something that washes up on the beach, hugh? I am personally a big fan of Himalayan goji juice because of it’s broad profile of nutrition. For example,
most fruits do not have the amino acids (it has many vitamins and 18 amino acids) or the essential fatty acids that the goji berry does. In addition, it is high in antioxidants and there are 4 polysaccharides which are completely unique to the wolf berry and thus goji juice. The polysaccharides are very important bioactive components, in fact.

Lawsuit Loans Help You Get Full Settlement for Your Injuries

Wednesday, May 20th, 2009

When someone is injured because of the negligence of other parties, they deserve compensation. Lawsuit loans enable the victim to take their claim to court and resist letting the insurance companies talk them in to settling for less. Most personal injury cases take months or longer, which can become a huge financial
burden on the injured. Pre-settlement funding helps to avoid all of this. Injuries due to auto accidents, faulty products or negligence by large companies can be very serious. Many times, they are so severe that the injured cannot work or becomes disabled. This creates financial hardships, leaving the victim feeling they
are unable to pursue justice. Lawsuit loans are the answer. You deserve compensation, and can afford to pursue it.

Insurance companies know that these types of cases usually take months or longer to settle. Although they will persuade you that they are looking out for your best interests, they are looking after their own. They will attempt to get you to settle for less compensation. Pre-settlement funding is a way to avoid this and be financially secure for the duration of your claim.

Settlement funding companies are designed to give injured people a chance to fight for their rights. The money they provide is not a loan, it is a cash advance. The amount will be determined from the beginning, so that the plaintiff knows exactly how much they will owe in the event they win their case. In the worst case scenario, if the claim is lost the plaintiff owes no money to the funding company.

Lawsuit loans can be used by the plaintiff in a number of different ways. Often, the injured cannot work for an extended period of time. These funds help pay
monthly household bills, medical bills, attorney fees and even repair costs if an automobile was badly damaged in the accident.

If the defendant is a large corporation, the case will often take even longer to settle. These companies often have deep pockets, and will extend the case for as long as possible in an attempt to get the plaintiff to settle for less. Pre-settlement funding also helps to avoid this scenario, allowing the plaintiff to
proceed for as long as it takes.

Your attorney will submit the necessary information to the settlement funding company for their examination. Upon approval, funds are available within 24 hours. If you have been injured because of another person or party’s negligence, contact your attorney today. They will discuss the possibility of obtaining a lawsuit loan to enable you to get the compensation you deserve for your injuries, as well as pain
and suffering.

Cause of Tragic Death of ODB confirmed

Monday, May 18th, 2009

The music world has still not fully recovered from the sudden and untimely death several years ago of ODB, aka Ol’ Dirty Bastard, the hip hop performer known as much for his trademark gold teeth and bling bling jewelry as for his music.
After he tragically fell down and died in a New York City music studio, the cause of his death is now known to be a narcotics overdose.
It was apparently a mixture of legal and illegal narcostics, according to the various media reports.
All in all, his unfortunate and sad death is being treated as an accident since there does not appear to be any evidence of
any sort of foul play involved in this case. For example, he had a well-documented history of narcotics abuse
and even spent a couple of years in the slammer on just such a charge. he was only 35 years old when he died.
He had many other legal problems, and also tried to commit suicide at one point.
Specifically, when he died had had the powerful painkiller Tramadol plus large quantities of cocaine in his system.
It was officially declared to be an accidental overdose by the New York City Medical Examiner’s Office
He had his own style, which was basically half-rapped, half-sung style. This style was quite unique.
Much like Flava Flav or Puff Daddy , he was also a huge proponent of bling bling jewelry, gold teeth and the like,
although I never saw him with the oversized watches or gold chains, diamond dog tags and other jewelry that some hip hop stars employed.

Officials Mull over new DUI law in Seattle

Sunday, May 17th, 2009

At a Puget Sound Seattle conference, the Dept. of licensing plus the State Patrol unveiled various details for the new laws which possibly go into effect soon. This is known as the ignition-interlock law and it has been somewhat controversial since it’s inception and subsequent analysis by the mainstream media due to it’s possible effects on the dui situation in the region.

All in all, the proposed law will basically assist drivers who have been busted for dui to keep their license or at least only lose it for a brief time thus reducing sharply the volume of unlicensed drivers on the Seattle highways at any given time. These drivers will then have to apply for a special drivers license which will give them complete driving rights assuming they already are fitted with a ignition interlock gadget in their car to prevent them from driving if they have been drinking alcoholic beverages. In addition to all of this, they will furthermore be mandated to have unique license plates on their car or truck. As an aside if you need a superb Seattle dui attorney then might I recommend the Law Offices of Blair & Kim, as they are indeed among the best Seattle dui attorney that you will be able to find. Now back to the story at hand. Thanks for letting me plug those guys because they are good.

The new drivers license will be a hundred bucks out of the drivers pocket, a small price to pay really for the freedom to drive. Twenty of these dollars will be put into a fund for drivers who are unable to afford the fees and there will also be a monthly charge for the corporation that makesthe ignition interlock devices in question. Of course, the said driver will have to have proof of car insurance, congruent with state law.

All in all, the length of time the driver will need to have the ignition interlock device on their car will depend largely on the number of times they have been busted for driving under the influence. A first time dui offender will vary and can be as long as a year, the driver who has been charged with dui three or more times will comply to having the ignition interlock device on their vehicle 10 years. Seattle is very progressive in this respect. Lindsey Lohan could use this device.

Actor’s Attorney defends His Client

Friday, May 15th, 2009

The criminal defense Attorney for actor Kiefer Sutherland has claimed (perhaps correctly) that the TV thespian is not at fault for possibly attacking high profile fashion designer Jack McCollough last week at a party, as reported by to a number of published news reports, such as by the Associated press, among others.
The attorney for the Canadian born yet Los Angeles identified actor read: “the investigation being conducted by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and the NYPD will confirm that Kiefer…(is exonerated)” The son of noted actor Donald Sutherland, Kiefer has also appeared in a number of feature films such as
‘A Few Good Men’plus ‘Young Guns’. On the whole he is perhaps most widely known for his lead part on the TV program ‘24′ For trivia fans, he is apart of the well known and sometimes notorious ‘brat packer’ group of holloywood stars like Sean Penn, Robert Downey Jr., Rob Lowe, Demi Moore, Charlie Sheen and Emelio Estevez.
Incidentially if you require a superb Los Angeles criminal defense attorney then might I recommend the esteemed Law Offices of Ramiro J. Lluis as he is a top-drawer and leading Los Angeles criminal defense attorney for much of southern California.
Now back to the story at hand: This is of course not the actor’s only run-in problem with the legal system yet he is generally well known with the Los Angeles system rather than New York City. Despite the very serious criminal allegations, however, not all of the news has been bad for Kiefer lately. He was recently voted ‘Canada’s most beautiful person’ and Los Angeles actress and supermodel Brooke Shields has come to his defense verbally in some recent statements.
